A Collection of Music Videos Featuring TANUPACK Virtual Band by EWI Performer Jin Soda.
Christmas in Nikko 2020
The members of the Tanupack Virtual Band are as follows.
bass: Nobuyoshi Sawano (Born May 17, 1974, in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture; Blood type A; Married; Favorite bassist: Brian Bromberg. He’s the most “normal” (?) and serious, model-student type of player in the Tanupack Virtual Band. He doesn’t say much, but when he gets drunk, he completely transforms into a harsh critic. He can play the electric bass, but he’s modest about it, saying, “My electric bass playing isn’t much different from an amateur’s,” and he doesn’t like to play in front of others.)
percussion: Nhannynho Da Conta (Born March 3, 1965, in Brazil. Age 55. Cheerful personality; blood type B. He loves jokes and laughs a lot, but the jokes themselves aren’t funny at all. He’s currently single and lives with Nyan and Niño, the cats he rescued, but he has quite a history with women. He married a Japanese woman and moved to Saitama. Even after the divorce, he’s still living in Japan—though I have no idea how he manages it. Apparently, he makes a living running a used car dealership with an Indian friend.)
electric violin: Kim Maica (Born May 5, 1988, in Akita City, Akita Prefecture. Her parents are of Korean descent. She is an AB blood type with a strong sense of curiosity and a free-spirited nature. Although she sometimes tries to look edgy, men don’t seem to be interested in her. Perhaps because her parents are wealthy, she doesn’t appear to have a job outside of music.)
cello: Erich von Kreisler (Born April 29, 1954, in Vienna, Austria. A Type O with a somewhat difficult personality. Although his father’s family was supposedly of noble descent, the family had fallen on hard times, yet his father raised him strictly. He studied classical music at a music school, but as a rebellious act, he left home in his late teens and wandered the country, joining a group of Gypsy musicians.)
They are a virtual band created by Jin Soda.
First, please enjoy bassist Nobu’s skill and great sense in this song.

The Memory of Λ (lambda)
Inspired by a subtle memory of the phrase I heard in 1970's on TV.
Images were shot in Nikko.
Last Dog In My Neighborhood
A neighbor's dog died the other day. When my wife and I moved here 13 years ago, there were three dogs in the neighborhood. Two of them I walked and kept company with until they died.
The remaining one was probably the oldest. The owner said he had lived for more than 20 years, but I wondered if that was true.
The last one kept mewling in a sad voice for several days before he died.
No one in my neighborhood will start owning a dog again in my lifetime. I would like to dedicate this song to the “last dog in the neighborhood” who died quietly without anyone noticing.
Cello-Djem Project 240710
An experiment in cello and djembe ensemble. Cello is played by "SWAM Cello3" with EWI.
The Moon When Not Looking
Quantum is said to change its motion when humans are observing it and when they are not.
Einstein vehemently refuted physicists who claimed the mysterious phenomenon of so-called “quantum entanglement,” saying, “So you are saying that the moon does not exist when we are not looking at it?”
According to today's state-of-the-art physics, quantum entanglement does exist.
I thought of that story when I tried to make some kind of incongruous music that gradually betrays the scheduled harmony.
No Chord Session 01 'The End of January'
I wish I could enjoy a session like this, but since I don’t have any friends nearby, I’m jamming with a “virtual band.” I’m playing the electric violin on an EWI.
